The Tulare Union basketball program has been crowned the Tulare County high school boys' sports team of the year for the 2025‑26 season, capping a remarkable campaign that finished with a 31‑5 record.
Coach Hatton’s Milestone
Head coach Mark Hatton added another chapter to his legacy by becoming the Central Section’s all‑time winningest head coach, finishing the season with 597 career victories.
Tournament Triumphs
The team captured two tournament championships, the Andrew Bedoya Holiday Classic and the Polly Wilhelmsen Invitational, and shared the West Yosemite League crown for the second straight year.
Star Performers
Senior forward Brayden Stevenson broke the school’s all‑time scoring record with 1,934 career points, while three‑sport athlete Demaje Riley, a verbal commit to Fresno State football, will return for the 2026‑27 season.
Key contributors including Melvin Lopez, Isaiah Gray, Keanu Kennedy, Jose Romero, Shauntai Kimble and Bob Barnett are expected to anchor the squad next year, giving the team continuity as it aims for another deep playoff run.
