Campus Sports Series Expands Across CSU Arena
Poudre School District and Colorado State University have announced a multi‑year partnership that will bring a slate of high school athletics to the university’s facilities, giving local teams a chance to compete on a collegiate stage.
Volleyball will make its debut in the Moby arena with two new events — Moby Rise and Rally — scheduled for September, while basketball fans can look forward to a full day of holiday‑break action titled Moby Hardwood Havoc in December.
The Canvas Community Classic football kickoff will now feature a tripleheader, adding squads from Loveland and Windsor to the traditional matchup and expanding the regional footprint of the event.
Moby Mat Madness wrestling returns for a second year, continuing the tradition of showcasing emerging talent in a venue that blends community spirit with competitive intensity.
Brandon Carlucci, PSD athletic director, praised the collaboration, saying the partnership creates meaningful opportunities for students to showcase their abilities while building lasting ties between the district and the university.
Eight games are slated for the Hardwood Havoc basketball showcase, pairing local boys’ and girls’ teams in a celebration of sport that bridges high school and college environments.
