NOVA Girls Ice Hockey Pickup League Provides All‑Girl Environment for Young Players
The NOVA Girls Ice Hockey Pickup League, launched in the Washington‑DC suburbs, is reshaping how middle‑school girls experience hockey. Founded by Dr. Christopher Chang and Kara Given, the league offers a dedicated all‑girls environment for ages 10‑14, addressing safety concerns, skill balance, and the need for female role models. Eleanor Craig, 13, shares her first all‑girls team experience, highlighting the program’s inclusive approach.
