A Season of Excellence
The 2026 All-Sumner County baseball team was announced this week, recognizing 45 players who excelled across the county’s high schools. The selections were made by the Gallatin News, Hendersonville Standard, and Portland Sun, whose staff compiled the honors.
Jackson Goddard earned Pitcher of the Year after posting a 0.26 ERA and striking out 93 batters, while Joe Mosley was crowned Position Player of the Year with a .479 average, eight home runs and 25 RBIs. Grayson Walker took the Two-Way Player award, batting .402 and maintaining a 1.45 ERA on the mound.
Liberty Creek Wolves finished the season with a 31-10 record and secured back-to-back appearances at the state tournament, a feat that helped them claim Team of the Year. Their coach, Eli Carlisle, was recognized as Coach of the Year for his leadership.
The All-County First Team includes Barrett Brown, Kaden Powell, Jake Soporowski, Grayson Kennedy and Mason Dunning, while pitchers Liam Dougherty and Drew Massey also earned spots with impressive stat lines. The Second Team features Lucas Banks, Bill McGlothin, Max Dohanos, Tristan Calvert and Isaac Oglesby, complemented by Reese Hall and Easton Biggs, who delivered strong pitching performances.
Other notable names on the full roster include Matthew Fuller, Jackson Cothern, Houston Bogle, Cooper Epley, Grant Lilly, Riley Ridings and many more, reflecting the depth of talent across Sumner County this season.
