The 2026 Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic Weekend will descend on Canton, Ohio, from September 3 through 6, bringing a blend of sport, scholarship and service to the Pro Football Hall of Fame grounds.
More than a game
Beyond the headline matchup between Albany State Golden Rams and Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls, the schedule weaves a college fair for high schoolers, a Habitat for Humanity service day, a golf classic and a comedy show, each designed to empower the next generation of students and entrepreneurs.
Community partners rally
Local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Stark Economic Development Board have joined forces to host a Day of Service on September 4, while a Minority Business Reception on September 6 will connect emerging firms with industry leaders.
The centerpiece
The centerpiece remains the Clash at The Classic football game on September 6 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, kicking off at 4 p.m. The contest pits the defending champions of the CIAA and SIAC conferences against each other in a showcase of talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The festivities spill into the evening with a Reading the Playbook session for elementary students, a Battle of the Bands featuring marching bands from both schools, an Official All White Affair, and a Time of Inspiration ceremony that will culminate in the unveiling of the 2026 Hall of Fame plaque.
After the game, fans will enjoy a Classic Tailgate and a Fifth Quarter celebration, where marching bands extend the halftime experience into a full‑throttle musical finale.
