The Daily News has released its 2026 All-Star roster, honoring the most outstanding high school baseball players from the MetroWest region. Selections were based on a combination of statistical dominance, league recognitions and the impact each athlete had on their team’s success.
From dominant pitchers to versatile hitters, this year’s cohort showcases a blend of power, precision and leadership. Many of the honorees have already committed to collegiate programs, while others are poised to continue their careers locally.
Mound Masters
The pitching staff was headlined by Brody Barrett of Millis, who recorded 73 strikeouts and posted a .350 batting average, and by Dylan Maw of Tri-County, who finished the season with a 1.25 ERA and 68 strikeouts. Jared Grunbaum from Ashland went 5-0 with a 1.83 ERA and 48 strikeouts, earning Tri-Valley League Large Pitcher of the Year, while Henry Leek of Holliston posted a 1.80 ERA and 34 strikeouts.
At the plate, several athletes posted eye-catching numbers. Max Boehm of Wellesley helped his squad reach the MIAA Division 1 Round of 16, and Sean Kryzak of Franklin batted .356 with 18 RBIs and 8 steals, earning Hockomock League all-star and team MVP honors. Aidan Kramer of Holliston batted .383 with 15 RBIs and 25 steals, also receiving Tri-Valley League all-star recognition.
Several standouts are set to continue their academic and athletic careers at institutions such as UMass Dartmouth, Massachusetts Maritime Academy and the University of New Hampshire. Others, like Luke Dougherty of Natick, will pursue soccer at Skidmore College, illustrating the diverse athletic interests of these students.
Beyond the box score, the honorees are recognized for their sportsmanship and community involvement. Their achievements reflect the strong baseball culture that permeates towns from Millis to Medway, and they serve as role models for the next generation of players.
