MVP makes history
Finn Stovall of Harlem captured the MVP award for the second consecutive season, cementing his place among the area’s all‑time greats.
Records and statistics
Stovall rewrote the record books with 150 career hits, 17 home runs and 117 RBIs, while batting .500 this year with 42 RBIs and 28 stolen bases. On the mound he posted a 9‑2 record, 106 strikeouts and a 1.89 ERA.
Other standout performers
Byron’s Caden Considine will head to the University of Illinois after a 27‑8 season that featured a .449 average, 19 doubles and five homers, earning first‑team 1A All‑State honors.
Harlem’s Jackson Heidemann finished the year with 106 strikeouts and holds the school’s career strikeout record at 279.
Lena‑Winslow’s Luke Madigan logged over 100 strikeouts for the third straight year and hit .414 with 44 RBIs, while Boylan’s Max Miller helped his squad open NIC‑10 play 12‑0 en route to a 27‑9 finish.
Looking ahead
Several players are set to continue their careers at the collegiate level, including Considine’s commitment to Illinois, as the region prepares for another competitive season.
