The Telegram & Gazette has unveiled its 2026 T&G Hometeam boys' hockey All-Star team, a roster that captures the most electrifying performances from high schools across Central Massachusetts.
Stars Who Led the Charge
Liam Glew of Littleton High and his brother Conor Glew were the twin engines that propelled their squad to its first state championship, combining relentless offense with clutch play.
Chase Bergeron at St. Bernard’s posted a 2.34 goals‑against average and a .915 save percentage, guiding the team to a historic state final appearance, while Colin McCarthy in net delivered 15 wins with a 2.60 goals‑against average and a .910 save percentage, marking a second straight trip to the Division 1 final.
Ryder Bisson of St. John’s added four goals and 18 assists, helping the team reach the Division 1 final for the second consecutive season, and Nathaniel Carter from Nashoba Regional tallied 22 goals and 16 assists, steering his side to the Division 3 round of 16.
Thomas Massalski of Marlborough contributed 12 goals and 29 assists, pushing his team into the Division 3 tournament’s Round of 16, while Timmy O’Malley from Hudson lit up the scoreboard with 29 goals and 13 assists, earning a Division 4 state tournament berth.
Jordan Sousa also shone for Hudson, recording 27 points and 34 assists, and Matthew Sylvia of St. Bernard’s topped Central Mass. scoring with 36 goals and 45 assists, leading his team to its first-ever state final.
Cody Penniman of Wachusett Regional cemented his legacy as the all‑time scoring leader with 142 career points, surpassing the 135‑point mark to finish with 142, a milestone that underscored his sustained excellence.
Gavin Werling capped his career as Littleton’s all‑time leading scorer, helping the team clinch the Division 4 state championship for the first time in school history, a testament to his durability and impact.
