The National Football Foundation announced the 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, a 80‑player slate that spans more than five decades of the sport.
Two Notre Dame alumni headline the list: Luther Bradley, a 1977 First Team All‑American who still holds Irish records for career interceptions and interception return yards, and Manti Te’o, who in 2012 swept the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Bednarik, Butkus, Lombardi and Nagurski Awards and led the Fighting Irish to their first national championship game appearance since 1988.
Te’o’s 2012 season also earned him the National Football Foundation Scholar‑Athlete honor, underscoring his excellence on and off the field.
A Hall of Fame Ballot That Bridges Eras
The ballot also includes notable figures such as Cris Carter, Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Leaf, Simeon Rice, Craig Heyward, Antwaan Randle El, Kevin Carter, Dan Devine, and Taylor Lewan, each representing a different chapter of college football history.
The diverse field reflects the breadth of programs, from Ohio State and Florida to California, Pittsburgh, Washington State, and Indiana, highlighting the national scope of the Hall of Fame’s consideration.
The class will be revealed in early 2027, with the official induction scheduled for the 69th NFF Annual Awards Dinner, a ceremony that celebrates the sport’s most impactful contributors.
