2027 NASCAR Calendar Takes Shape
NASCAR has locked in a series of marquee dates for its 2027 Cup Series, headlined by the Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 21, and the Coca‑Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend, scheduled for Sunday, May 30. These events anchor the season and draw the sport’s largest audiences.
Support Series and Regional Highlights
Atlanta Motor Speedway will host two Cup dates, on Sunday, February 28 and again on Sunday, July 18, giving fans multiple opportunities to experience racing in the Southeast. Circuit of the Americas is slated for Sunday, March 7, while Texas Motor Speedway will hold its own event on Sunday, May 2. The schedule also includes a street race in St. Petersburg on Saturday, March 6, adding a coastal flavor to the calendar.
The Truck Series and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will run their own support programs, with the Truck Series visiting Daytona on Friday, February 19, and Atlanta on Friday, February 26. The O'Reilly Series will mirror some of these dates, including a Saturday, February 20 outing at Daytona and a Saturday, February 27 slot at Atlanta. Additional Truck dates are set for Texas on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, while the O'Reilly Series will also race at Circuit of the Americas on Saturday, March 6.
While several dates are confirmed, the future of Watkins Glen International remains in flux. The track is expected to join The Chase in September, but no official date has been released. Likewise, the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway is tentatively placed for Labor Day weekend, September 5, though it awaits final approval. Iowa Speedway is also listed among the venues that may host events, pending confirmation.
