The 2026 high school baseball season has produced a wave of recognition for the Miami Valley, where 25 standout players earned All‑Ohio first‑team honors across the state’s seven divisions.
Badin High School topped the local count with four selections, showcasing the depth of talent on its roster, including Caleb Driessen, Keegan Sawyer, Cade Cummins and Chandler Taylor.
Other area programs also made their mark: Coldwater contributed three Division V athletes — Karsyn Homan, Derek Dues and Braxton Taylor — while Beavercreek’s Easton Grimm and Andrew Oppenheimer, and Springboro’s Ben Veletean and Nick Hutchinson earned Division I spots. Troy’s Aidan Gorman and Jake Reinhardt were named to the Division II first team, and Butler’s Jackson Schilling alongside Koby Dues represented Division III.
Coaches of the Year
Centerville’s head coach Jason Whited was crowned Division I Coach of the Year, and St. Henry’s mentor Mike Gast received the Division VI Coach of the Year award.
Individual accolades continued with divisional players of the year: Parker Van Engelenhoven from Olentangy Liberty captured Division I honors, Drew Jones of Lakewood won Division II, Wilson Wells from Granville took Division III, Talon Walton of Perkins earned Division IV, and Ryan Younglas of Keystone was selected for Division V.
