7 Cedars Hosts Free Community Soccer Watch Party in Sequim

A family‑friendly event featuring live matches, music, food vendors and interactive soccer activities on June 19

On June 19, the 7 Cedars Resort will open its grounds to the public for a free community soccer watch party, inviting families and fans from across the Olympic Peninsula to gather at the James Center Bandshell near Carrie Blake Park in Sequim.

The festive afternoon will feature live soccer matches, a lineup of local musicians, a variety of food vendors, and a series of interactive soccer activities designed for all ages.

Organizers have partnered with regional soccer groups to run skills clinics, training sessions and friendly challenges, while the day’s opening fixture will pit Team USA against Australia, setting an energetic tone for the event.

The celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs and wear their favorite team apparel to show spirit.

A Community Celebration of Soccer

"We wanted to create a space where the local soccer community could come together, share the excitement of the game, and enjoy a day of family‑friendly fun," said Erick Miller, director of marketing at 7 Cedars Resort Properties.

Beyond the matches, the event aims to strengthen ties among youth leagues, collegiate teams and fans, fostering a vibrant soccer culture that will echo throughout the region for years to come.
