Ten standout players from six Atlantic 10 programs earn regional honors, paving the way for potential All-America accolades.

The American Baseball Coaches Association, together with Rawlings, has released the 2026 NCAA Division I All-Region teams, honoring ten student-athletes from six Atlantic 10 programs. Their performances have placed them among the candidates for the upcoming ABCA/Rawlings All-America selections.

Regional Honors Highlight Conference Depth

Four A-10 schools — Dayton, Rhode Island, Richmond, and Saint Joseph’s — received multiple nods, underscoring the league’s competitive balance. The recognitions span both the East and Atlantic regions, reflecting the breadth of talent across the conference.

Dayton’s Danny MacDougall earned a spot on the East All-Region First Team as a second baseman, while his teammate Michael Smith Jr. secured Second Team honors as an outfielder. Saint Joseph’s contributed Blake Primrose and Christian Coppola to the First Team, the former as a catcher and the latter as a relief pitcher. Richmond’s Joey Giordano and Dylan Winebrenner were placed on the Atlantic All-Region Second Team, Giordano as a pitcher and Winebrenner at first base. Rhode Island’s Jack Hopko made the Northeast All-Region First Team as an outfielder, with Reece Moroney earning Second Team accolades as a shortstop. VCU’s Jacob Lee was named to the Atlantic All-Region First Team and was also recognized as the A-10 Championship Most Outstanding Player. Finally, Fordham’s Tommy McAndrews received a First Team nod as a catcher.

Path to the College World Series

First Team All-Region selections become eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors, and the full slate of All-America players will be announced on June 12, just before the NCAA Division I College World Series begins in Omaha, Nebraska. The anticipation surrounding the announcement adds a narrative of excitement for the student-athletes, their programs, and the broader collegiate baseball community.

The recognition not only celebrates individual achievement but also spotlights the Atlantic 10’s growing influence on the national stage. As the conference’s athletes transition from regional accolades to potential All‑America status, they carry with them the expectations of continued excellence and the promise of future successes on the national stage.
