Preseason Honors
Aaron Fenimore, Liberty University’s starting center, has been selected for the 2026 Rimington Trophy watch list, a preseason acknowledgment that highlights the nation’s top collegiate interior linemen.
The list, compiled by the Boomer Esiason Foundation using Pro Football Focus data, includes only 40 players nationwide, making the inclusion a notable distinction. Fenimore joins Steven Dembowski of Delaware as the only two Conference USA representatives, and he is one of eight athletes from Group of Six schools to earn a spot.
Offensive Momentum
Fenimore’s impact extends beyond the watch list. Over the past two seasons he has started 24 consecutive games, logging more than 97 percent of Liberty’s offensive snaps in 2024 and 2025. Pro Football Focus graded him 73.5 in 2025, the highest among Liberty’s starting linemen, and his consistency helped the Flames rank third in Conference USA for rushing yards per game.

Beyond the Rimington list, Fenimore earned placement on the 2027 Shriners Children’s 1000 Watch List and was named to the Athlon Sports CUSA Preseason All-Conference first team and Phil Steele’s second-team all-conference squad, underscoring the breadth of his recognition.
The Rimington Trophy itself carries a legacy of charitable support, having generated over $5 million for the Boomer Esiason Foundation since its inception, honoring former Nebraska standout Dave Rimington.
