The plan includes early‑season contests that pit traditional powerhouses against emerging programs, as well as a championship weekend that promises primetime drama across the country.
Primetime showdowns
Fans can mark their calendars for several marquee games that will air on ABC in the opening weeks of the season. Alabama A&M will host Howard on Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m., while East Carolina travels to Alabama for a noon start on September 5. Auburn and Baylor meet at 2:30 p.m. on the same day, and Clemson makes the trek to face LSU at 6:30 p.m. Later in September, Louisville will welcome Ole Miss at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, and Ohio State will head to Texas for a 6:30 p.m. showdown on September 12. LSU’s visit to Ole Miss is set for 6:30 p.m. on September 19, rounding out a busy early schedule.
Championship weekend
The schedule extends beyond the regular season, featuring the Big 12 championship game on Friday, December 4 at 7 p.m., and the ACC championship game on Saturday, December 5 at 11 a.m. Additional late‑season rivalry games are slated for Friday, November 27, including Mississippi State at Ole Miss at 11 a.m., Florida at Florida State at 2:30 p.m., and Texas at Texas A&M at 6:30 p.m. These contests will close out the regular season and set the stage for postseason play.
