A Milestone for the Program
The Abilene Christian Wildcats are entering a landmark season after capturing consecutive United Athletic Conference titles, and the excitement is already spilling onto the field.
On July 21, the team will take part in the UAC Football Kickoff at Texas Live! in Arlington, where doors will swing open to fans at 10 a.m., setting the stage for a day of celebration and competition.
Representing Abilene Christian University, head coach Keith Patterson will be joined by offensive tackle Luke Roaten and defensive tackle Kortlin Rausaw, who will serve as the university’s ambassadors during the festivities.
Media Day Schedule
The trio will appear on ESPN+ for a live interview segment from 12:34 to 12:44 p.m., while a simultaneous YouTube broadcast will stream the ACU Sports Podcast beginning at 10:30 a.m., giving viewers a behind‑the‑scenes look.
In addition to the televised appearances, the players will engage in a series of promotional activities, including social‑media posts, photo shoots and video content creation, all part of the conference’s rotating media‑station format.
The media day will kick off at 11 a.m. with the unveiling of the preseason poll and the Preseason All‑UAC Team, after which each of the eight conference members will rotate through one‑on‑one interviews with select journalists.
Jeff Bacon, chief executive of Unisun Sports, is slated to join the ESPN+ broadcast between 12:00 and 12:08 p.m., adding a corporate perspective to the event.
Fans attending the kickoff will enjoy open access to Texas Live! throughout the morning, while the broader community can follow the proceedings online, underscoring the conference’s commitment to visibility and engagement.
