Adan Diggs, a five‑star combo guard from Goodyear, Arizona, announced that he will reclassify from the 2028 to the 2027 high school basketball recruiting cycle, a move that instantly places him among the most coveted prospects of his generation.
During his sophomore season he guided his team to a 24‑4 record, averaged 22.5 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals per game, and captured MaxPreps National Sophomore Player of the Year honors.
A Recruiting Shift
His rise follows a pattern among elite prospects who have chosen to accelerate their recruitment timeline, with AJ Dybantsa, Cooper Flagg and Bruce Branch III all having made similar moves in recent months.
Currently, Diggs competes with Vegas Elite on the Nike 17u EYBL circuit, where he is posting 19.6 points, six rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game, further cementing his status.
The buzz has translated into a flood of offers, with Diggs confirming interest from more than 20 programs, including Arizona, UCLA and USC, while also holding commitments from Alabama, BYU, Kentucky, LSU and Texas.
He has taken unofficial visits to Arizona, UCLA and USC, signaling a deliberate approach as he narrows his focus ahead of the next recruitment cycle.
