A new era of orange
The University of Tennessee will enter its third season under head coach Kim Caldwell in the 2026‑27 women's basketball campaign, a period that also marks the rebirth of the Lady Vols' partnership with Adidas.
The 10‑year agreement with the German sportswear giant officially began on July 1, bringing the brand back to the program after a hiatus.
Photos released by the team showcase the new orange uniforms, a color that has become synonymous with the Lady Vols' identity and now appears on the players' jerseys, shorts and warm‑up gear.
Adidas will serve as the official footwear, uniform, apparel and sideline partner for Tennessee athletics, a role that extends beyond basketball to other sports.
In a statement, Caldwell said she is thrilled to see the program don the iconic three‑stripe branding again, noting that the partnership aligns with the team's ambitions on and off the court.
The move also underscores Adidas's global reach; the company, headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, employs more than 62,000 people worldwide and reported €24.8 billion in sales for 2025.
Looking ahead
The fresh orange kits signal a new chapter for the Lady Vols as they aim to build on recent progress and attract new fans to the program.
