AHCA Announces 2025‑26 Krampade All‑American Scholars List

Twelve Colby student‑athletes earn academic honor

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) has unveiled its tenth annual "Krampade All‑American Scholars" list for the 2025‑26 season, honoring 994 varsity ice hockey players who excelled both on the ice and in the classroom.

Eligibility criteria

To earn the distinction, each student‑athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 throughout both semesters and have participated in at least 40 percent of their team’s games, with special accommodations provided to those sidelined by injury or serving as backup goaltenders.

Colby College contributed twelve scholars to the roster, reflecting the program’s strong academic culture. The women’s team accounted for eight honorees — Serafina Applegate, Lulu Gray, Julie Jasaitis, Molly Lefebvre, Emily Olsthoorn, Maria Pierce, Courtney Schumacher and Beth Sinson — while the men’s team saw four players recognized: Colby Browne, Massimo Gentile, Jayden Grier and Dan Juzych.

Membership in the AHCA is a prerequisite for participation, meaning the scholars represent institutions that are active members of the association across the United States.

The recognition underscores a growing emphasis on balancing athletic commitment with scholarly achievement, a trend that coaches say prepares student‑athletes for life beyond the rink.
