The Alabama High School Athletic Association has unveiled the participants for its 30th annual North‑South All‑Star spring sports competition, a showcase that brings together the state’s top rising seniors in soccer, tennis and golf.
The festivities will unfold in Montgomery from July 20 through July 24, with matches scheduled at a variety of venues across the city, turning the capital into a hub of high school athletic activity.
A full slate of sports and sites
Beyond the three core sports, the AHSAA will stage all‑star contests in baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, cross‑country, and additional tennis and golf events throughout the same week, giving athletes across disciplines a chance to shine.
Coaches have been appointed for most squads, though the South boys’ and girls’ golf fall‑star teams and the South tennis administrative coach remain to be finalized, a detail that will be ironed out before the opening day.
Rosters for baseball and softball are slated for release on Sunday, a move that will complete the participant list for those disciplines.
Football’s December finale
The excitement will extend beyond the spring schedule, as the association announced that the 67th North‑South Football All‑Star Game will be played in Mobile in December, marking the climax of the All‑Star Sports Week calendar.
The AHSADCA, which helps coordinate these events, operates under the auspices of the Alabama High School Athletic Association, underscoring the collaborative structure that supports high school athletics across the state.
