UNLV announced that guard AJ Storr has pledged to join the Runnin' Rebels for the 2026‑27 season, a move that bolsters the team’s backcourt with a proven scorer and playmaker.
A Recruit With a Proven Track Record
Storr arrives after stints at Ole Miss, Kansas, Wisconsin and St. John's, where he consistently ranked among the top offensive contributors. At Ole Miss he led the Rebels in scoring, averaged 17.5 points in SEC play and helped the team reach the 2026 SEC Tournament semifinals. His collegiate résumé also includes All‑Big Ten Second Team honors at Wisconsin, where he posted a 16.8‑point average and shot 43.4% from the field.
Pastner’s Second Year Brings New Challenges
Coach Josh Pastner will guide the Rebels for a second consecutive season, shaping a schedule that features matchups against Big 12 and SEC powerhouses. The roster will blend returning veterans Tyrin Jones and Issac Williamson with fresh talent such as Terrance Ford Jr. and Jeremy Foumena, creating a dynamic mix of experience and potential.
Looking Ahead
The addition of Storr is expected to elevate UNLV’s competitiveness as it navigates a demanding slate of games. With a blend of seasoned leadership and emerging talent, the Runnin' Rebels aim to make a deep run in the upcoming season and solidify their place among the nation’s top programs.
