Akron’s football program is turning the traditional fan experience on its head, giving a single season ticket holder the chance to step into the role of ‘Offensive Coordinator of the Game’ for the September 12 showdown against Robert Morris.
The promotion, exclusive to season ticket holders, will select one lucky participant through a random draw, with additional entries granted for those who successfully refer new ticket holders to the program.
Tickets for the opportunity range from $75 to $181, a price point designed to make the experience accessible while still reflecting the value of the unique role.
The chosen fan will be empowered to call a variety of offensive plays — including flea‑flickers, end‑arounds and triple reverse passes — alongside the coaching staff during what the university describes as the season’s most important matchup.
