Al Hamilton has been appointed head coach of the Battle Creek Central varsity boys basketball team, stepping into the role after Durant Crum concluded an 11‑year tenure that ended with a 10‑11 record last season.
Hamilton brings a résumé that includes coaching at Redford Thurston High School, Ferris State University and Madonna University, as well as extensive work with elite club programs across the state.

In comments to the local press, Athletic Director Lorin Granger highlighted Hamilton’s ‘next‑level experience’ and his ability to create clear pathways for players who aspire to compete beyond high school.
