In parallel, Kevin Keister has been promoted from graduate assistant to Player Development Assistant, focusing on hitting instruction and infield development. Keister’s own collegiate career at the University of Maryland, where he posted a .280 average and earned First Team All‑Big Ten honors as a sophomore, provides a player‑centric perspective that head coach Vaughn believes will translate into on‑field success.
