Alabama Secures No. 7 Seed, Hosts Regional

The University of Alabama’s baseball program has been awarded the No. 7 national seed in the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament, guaranteeing it a home‑field advantage at Sewell‑Thomas Stadium.

The Tuscaloosa Regional will begin on Friday, May 29, and run through Monday, June 1, using a double‑elimination format that pits the Crimson Tide against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the USC Upstate Spartans and the Alabama State Hornets.

Should Alabama advance through the regional round, the team could meet another host in the Super Regional, potentially keeping the action in Tuscaloosa.

Head coach Rob Vaughn, who has guided the program through a period of sustained growth, will oversee the regional lineup, which includes a fresh in‑state rivalry after Alabama State captured the SWAC Tournament championship.

Ticket Details

All‑session tickets are priced at $105 and include general admission as well as Right Field Terrace seating. Single‑session tickets will be offered at $25, while student tickets are available for $5, providing affordable options for fans across the state.

Games will be played at Sewell‑Thomas Stadium on the University of Alabama campus, a venue that last hosted a regional in 2023 and is now set to welcome the nation’s top collegiate teams.
