Alabama Crimson Tide Baseball Secures Historic Season End

Three players earn All-SEC honors as the team finishes with a 37-18 record, the best SEC finish since 2009.

The Alabama Crimson Tide baseball squad wrapped up the 2026 regular season with a 37-18 overall record, marking the program’s strongest finish in the SEC since 2009.

Coach Mike Smith praised the team's consistency, noting that the tally reflects a blend of veteran leadership and emerging talent that kept the squad competitive week after week.

All-SEC Honors

Three standouts earned recognition on the All-SEC teams, with Tyler Fay and Brady Neal both landing spots on the second team and freshman Myles Upchurch earning a place on the freshman squad.

Fay’s season was highlighted by a no-hit game against the Florida Gators, the first such feat in 84 years for Alabama, and he finished with 99 strikeouts against just 20 walks over 85.1 innings, posting a 4.43 ERA.

Neal, who started 50 of 53 games, batted .322, drove in 40 runs and added seven homers, while also reaching base at a .439 clip, underscoring his all-around offensive impact.

Upchurch, a true freshman, anchored the Sunday rotation, delivering a 3.34 ERA across 14 appearances, striking out 68 batters while walking 38, and his outings grew deeper into games, easing the burden on the bullpen.

The trio’s accolades not only spotlight individual excellence but also signal a promising pipeline for the program as it looks ahead to the next season.
