League Honors Highlight a Competitive Season
The Intermountain League revealed its All-League girls soccer team in late May, spotlighting the standout performances of high school players across the region and setting the stage for a celebration of local talent.
Alamosa High School contributed five athletes to the honored list, underscoring the program’s growing influence in the league and reflecting a season of strong competition and community pride.
Among them, Leah Higareda, Araceli Molina and Jayden Wubben earned first-team honors, a testament to their skill, consistency, and impact on the pitch.
Jazmine Burrola and Ginger Rockcastle were recognized on the second team, further reflecting the depth of talent within the Alamosa roster and their valuable contributions throughout the campaign.
Montezuma-Cortez High School, the league champion, led all schools with six selections, highlighted by Mia Glazner’s designation as Player of the Year, a accolade that captures her exceptional performance and leadership.
Coach Melody Harris of Montezuma-Cortez was also celebrated, receiving the IML Coach of the Year award for her strategic guidance and ability to elevate her team’s play.
Pagosa Springs contributed four honorees, while Bayfield added three, including Goalkeeper of the Year Lily Muir, rounding out a diverse set of recognitions that illustrate the breadth of talent across the league.
