The turning point arrived in the bottom of the seventh inning when senior slugger Nate Pupons launched a two‑run home run that flipped the lead and secured the win.

Coach Justin Pruiksma, who assumed the program when the current senior class was still in seventh grade, credited the victory to relentless preparation and unwavering belief in his players.
Veteran pitcher Seamas LeBuis delivered a solid outing, limiting the Brothers to a single run through the first six frames and keeping the Falcons in contention.
The triumph marks the first postseason appearance for Albany High since 2021, a milestone made more remarkable by the team’s history of limited facilities and a schedule stacked with tough opponents.
