Community‑wide World Cup Celebrations
Albuquerque residents can look forward to a series of free, family‑friendly gatherings as the city joins the global excitement of the FIFA World Cup, with large screens set up in multiple city parks to broadcast the matches live.
Mayor Tim Keller emphasized that these events are designed to create vibrant gathering spaces where neighbors can come together to cheer on their favorite teams and share the passion of the tournament.
New Mexico United President Ron Patel added that the watch parties provide an opportunity to celebrate the sport’s universal appeal and to foster a sense of community among Albuquerque’s diverse population.
The schedule includes matches featuring Team USA and other international teams during the pool‑play phase, with additional gatherings possible if the United States advances to the knockout round.
All events are open to the public at no cost; attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating, food and drinks to enjoy the festivities.
