A Star on the Move
Alexis Pettinato, a two‑time Taunton Daily Gazette Girls Hockey Player of the Year, is set to leave her longtime program and join St. Mark’s School in Southborough, where she will reclassify to the graduating class of 2028.
The move comes after a standout high school career in which she earned the SouthCoast Girls Ice Hockey Player of the Year for the 2025‑26 season and helped the Spartans capture their first playoff victory and reach the Division 1 Finals as a sophomore.
A versatile three‑sport athlete, Pettinato excelled as a junior defenseman, tallying 11 goals and five assists for 16 points, while also commanding the soccer field as a goalkeeper and leading the lacrosse team with 30 goals, 11 assists and a flurry of defensive stats that earned her South Coast Conference All‑Star honors.
Her athletic prowess extended beyond the ice; she was recognized as the 2024‑25 Gazette Girls Athlete of the Year and helped her soccer squad claim the Most Improved Player award, underscoring a rare blend of leadership and skill.
What This Means for the Lions
At St. Mark’s, she will join a Lions program that finished the previous season with a 12‑9‑4 record and advanced to the NEPSAC Small semifinals, a team that competes under the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council.
Clubwise, Pettinato continues to develop with the Northeast Generals at the U19 Tier 1 level, a platform that has prepared her for the next step in her hockey journey.
