Opening Schedule Overview
The 2026 Algonquin football schedule kicks off with a gauntlet of five opponents who reached the playoffs a year ago. The Titans will open the season on the road against Nashoba, the Division 8 No. 1 seed and a Final Four team from last season, setting a high bar for the early test.
A short week later the team travels to Marlborough for its second contest, followed by a home matchup with Concord Carlisle on September 25. The clash with the Division 2 qualifier adds another layer of competition to the early slate.
Algonquin will then face Ashland and Leominster in the quarterfinals of their respective divisions, before closing the regular season against Wachusett, another Division 1 playoff participant. The Titans will also host Westborough for the traditional Thanksgiving game on November 26, a matchup that draws a large local crowd.
Last season the Titans finished 4‑7 but rallied to win four of their final six games, a sign of late‑season resilience. The roster lost honorable‑mention Central Mass. All‑Stars Anthony Bessard, Preston Biamou, Gavin Butterfield and Henry Rogers, yet leading tackler Victor Norman returns with 72.5 tackles, providing a core of experience.
Coach hopes the tough opening stretch will sharpen the team’s resolve and prepare them for the postseason push. With several key players back in the fold, the Titans aim to improve on their previous record and contend for a deeper playoff run.
