Coaches across the nine-team district have announced the 2026 All-Class 1 District 9 baseball squad, a roster that reflects a blend of seasoned standouts and emerging talent from schools spanning Norwood to Niangua.
At the helm of the recognition, Norwood’s own Drew Miller earned the distinction of District Coach of the Year, a tribute to his strategic guidance and player development throughout the season.
The selected athletes include a who's-who of local prospects: Pierce Lawson, Carson Vaughan, Laken Coatney, Pete McCune and Caden Black from Norwood; Malachi and Micah Cooper, Alex Terrill and Rylan Ross from Summersville; Sam Lloyd, Sergio Mascorro and Cade McCoy from Ellington; Ethan Loveland and Graham Preston from Chadwick; Will Crocker from Bunker, and Colton Kirksey from Niangua.
While the full roster showcases depth across the region, the team’s composition underscores the competitive balance that has defined the district’s play, with each school contributing key players who have excelled in hitting, pitching and fielding.
A Season Defined by Collaboration
The announcement reflects more than just individual achievement; it highlights a collaborative effort among coaches, schools and players who have worked together to elevate the level of play across the district.
As the 2026 campaign unfolds, the spotlight will remain on these athletes and their mentors, whose stories will continue to shape the narrative of high school baseball in the region.
