A Season of Accolades
The All-Cov News girls soccer team has named 23 local players to its award roster, celebrating a season marked by standout performances and emerging talent.
Zariah Strozier of Alcovy was selected as Most Valuable Player, capping a season in which she dominated the midfield with vision and precision.
Addie Henderson from Social Circle earned Breakout Player of the Year honors, while Gentrie Mobley in goal was crowned Goalie of the Year after a series of spectacular saves.
Coach Yulisa Vega of Eastside, who guided her squad to a 9‑5 record, received Coach of the Year recognition, and Katheryn Wilber was named Midfielder of the Year.
Defensive standout Kambrie Morrow of Social Circle took home Defensive Player of the Year, and several teammates secured spots on regional all‑star teams.
Rising stars such as Maggie Berger, Mary Jose Popoca, Ryleigh Powers and Samia Peek were highlighted, alongside honorable mentions like Miangel Rosiles‑Flores and Jasmyne Boney.
The recognition spans multiple schools — Alcovy, Social Circle, Eastside and Newton — showcasing the depth of talent across the region and underscoring the competitive balance of high school soccer this year.
