Jamila Wilson, a 2017 graduate of Alcovy High School, has returned to her alma mater to serve as the head coach of the school's flag football team for the 2026‑27 season. The athletic director approached Wilson with the opportunity, and after careful reflection and prayer she accepted, citing faith and responsibility as guiding principles in her decision.
Wilson, who previously competed in track and field and powder‑puff while at Alcovy, will now lead a program that is entering its second year. The Lady Tigers are projected to return several All‑Area players, and the roster has already demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication during offseason preparations.
