Under the bright floodlights of a Friday night, the alumni squad of Continental High School graduates faced off against the Continental High 2026 Boys Varsity in a tightly contested soccer match.
Parker Okuley opened the scoring in the fourth minute, slipping a delicate chip over the goalkeeper to put the varsity side ahead.
The first half ended goalless, but the game took an unexpected turn when officials added twenty minutes to the contest, citing ideal playing conditions that would have been impossible with a 5 p.m. kickoff.
With twenty‑six minutes remaining in the extended second half, Hunter Varner struck the decisive second goal, sealing a 2‑0 victory for the varsity team.
Looking Ahead
The varsity side will begin its season on August 24 at 7 p.m., traveling to face Lima Bath in their opening match.
