AM Racing Shuts Down After Playoff Run and Asset Sale Collapse

The team’s brief resurgence falters as financial woes force closure

A brief ascent and sudden retreat

AM Racing announced that it has formally ceased operations, bringing to an end a short‑lived but eventful stint in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The organization had secured a playoff berth in 2025, driven by Harrison Burton, and was preparing a full‑time entry for Nick Sanchez in the No. 25 Ford Mustang for the current season.

Financial pressures forced the team to abandon a planned asset sale to Sigma Performance Services, a deal that would have positioned the team for a 2026 comeback.

In addition to its primary entry, AM Racing ran a second car, the No. 52 Ford, in three early‑season events with Daniel Dye behind the wheel, showcasing a willingness to test younger talent.

Dye, recently released from the Kaulig Racing Truck program, has expressed interest in continuing to compete with the AM organization, though the future of that partnership remains uncertain.

Nick Sanchez, who was 25th in points when the team withdrew from the Rockingham race, held discussions with representatives from Team Penske, but those talks did not yield a new partnership.
