American University’s field hockey program announced a significant addition to its 2026 roster, bringing in two experienced transfers who are expected to elevate both performance and scholarship standards.
Transfer Players Bring Experience and Academic Distinction
Katelyn Dulin, a rising senior from Michigan State, appeared in all 18 games last season and logged six starts, contributing two goals while earning Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All‑Big Ten honors in 2024. She previously received NFHCA Scholar of Distinction recognition and started nine games as a sophomore.
Sienna Klein, a junior transfer from Boston College, saw limited minutes in her first season, logging 48 minutes across four appearances, but was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad in 2024, highlighting her commitment to both athletics and scholarship.
A Cohesive Cohort of Seven Newcomers
Alongside five incoming first‑year athletes, Dulin and Klein bring the total number of newcomers to seven, a class that Coach Steve Jennings describes as a blend of talent, experience, and academic promise.
Academic Excellence Meets Athletic Ambition
Both players have been recognized for their scholarly work, with Dulin’s Big Ten academic accolades and Klein’s national academic squad selection underscoring American University’s emphasis on integrating high‑performance athletics with rigorous academics.
Coach Jennings emphasized that the new transfers will add depth to the lineup while reinforcing the program’s culture of excellence, noting that their collegiate experience will complement the existing roster and accelerate the team’s development.
The university looks forward to seeing how the incoming class will shape the 2026 season, anticipating competitive play and continued academic distinction.
