Andre Gasseau Joins San Jose Sharks
The San Jose Sharks announced that they have signed former Boston College forward Andre Gasseau to a two-year, two-way entry-level contract. The agreement comes after the team acquired his rights in a trade finalized on June 18, a move that was timed to meet his August 15 signing deadline before he would have become an unrestricted free agent.
Gasseau spent four seasons at Boston College, where he recorded 111 points in 135 games. His junior year saw him finish with 30 points before a hand injury cut short his senior campaign and required surgery. Originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Draft, his rights were subsequently traded to the Sharks.

The Sharks view Gasseau as a flexible forward capable of playing both on the wing and in the middle, a trait that could add depth to a young roster eager for versatile talent.
