Andre Jackson Jr., a native of the Capital Region and current guard for the Milwaukee Bucks, came back to his hometown to give back to the community that shaped him.
A Homecoming Clinic
The event spanned two sessions: a morning slot from 9 a.m. to noon and an afternoon slot from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., each designed for children aged 11 to 14.
Participation carried a price tag of $80 per child, which covered court time, instruction, and a modest gift bag of basketball accessories.
Jackson stressed that the clinic was about more than drills; it was a chance for mentorship, inspiring youngsters to chase bigger goals both on and off the court.
Looking ahead, the former Capital Region star hinted that more basketball clinics could be on the horizon, promising to keep the local connection strong.
