Andrew May, the longtime head coach of the Snow College men’s basketball program, announced his resignation on Wednesday, citing a desire to pursue new opportunities in Utah Valley.
A Storied Tenure
During his time at Snow College, May compiled a remarkable 102‑26 overall record, highlighted by a 61‑7 mark over the last two seasons that propelled the team to consecutive conference championships.
Prior to his head‑coaching role, May honed his craft as an assistant at Utah Tech University and later served as the director of basketball operations at Brigham Young University, where he contributed to recruiting and program development.
Snow College’s athletic director praised May’s impact, noting that his leadership not only elevated the team’s performance but also fostered a culture of academic excellence among student‑athletes.
Utah Valley University, eager to bolster its own basketball ambitions, welcomed May’s move, emphasizing that his strategic vision aligns with the university’s long‑term goals for the program.
The transition comes as both institutions look to build on recent successes, with Snow College planning a national search for a new head coach and Utah Valley preparing for the upcoming season under May’s guidance.
