Hailing from Belmont, Massachusetts, Mazzone arrived in Carlisle as a left‑handed bat with a reputation for clutch hitting. At Dickinson he quickly became a cornerstone of the program, earning First Team All‑Centennial Conference honors as a designated hitter in 2021 and later adding three more All‑Centennial selections during his collegiate career.
