Angel City Football Club confirmed on Tuesday that Amy Taylor will take the helm as chief executive officer, with her tenure set to begin on July 27, 2026.
A strategic appointment
Taylor arrives after a three‑decade career that spans sports, consumer brands and media, including a stint as chief executive of Zevia PBC where she drove double‑digit growth and helped shape the company’s national footprint.
Prior to Zevia, she held senior leadership positions at Red Bull North America, overseeing a $4 billion portfolio and representing the company’s interests in the MLS franchise and Red Bull Arena.
Her early years as a national‑level track and field competitor in the 1990s and her formative work with the Atlanta Hawks and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games gave her a deep appreciation for competitive sport and large‑scale event production.
Club co‑owners Willow Bay and Julie Uhrman praised the appointment, citing Taylor’s values‑aligned leadership and financial rigor as key to accelerating the club’s growth and influence in women’s football.
Taylor expressed enthusiasm for the club’s innovative approach, noting that she is eager to leverage her experience to expand the team’s platform and deepen its impact on the sport.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Taylor is a recipient of the Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Inspirational Woman of the Year Award and serves on the executive committee of The Trevor Project, where she chairs the strategic planning committee.
