A New Chapter in Sports and Faith
Angela White, once known to reality‑tv audiences as Blac Chyna, is turning a new page with the launch of Hearts Pure Elite, a women’s 3×3 basketball team that will make its debut on August 30 at Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, California. The team is an extension of her Hearts Pure Cosmetics brand, now dressed in black‑and‑pink and bearing the slogan “Focus. Discipline. Elevate.”
The roster features four high school standouts — Zulymar ‘Zu’ Velazquez, Tatyana Aubry, Deja Smith and Sky Newsome — who will wear the new colors as they compete in a tournament organized by the 3’s League OC. The league, founded by former UCLA player Blake Arnet and co‑founded with NBA veteran Darren Collison, will host matches from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the school’s gymnasium.
Faith, Family and a Future Beyond the Screen
White’s recent embrace of sobriety has taken on a spiritual dimension; she is studying divinity and writing a memoir titled *Sober Mine: Letting Go of Blac Chyna and Living My Faith*, scheduled for January 2027. She has also committed to keeping her children, King Cairo and Dream, offline, prioritizing family and faith over the glare of social media.
The launch is being framed as more than a sporting event. White describes the team as “a movement” that blends discipline on the court with a broader message of elevation and community support, aiming to give young athletes a platform that reflects her own journey of transformation.
