Anthony Pack Earns Spot on USA Baseball’s 2026 Collegiate National Team

The Millikan High alum’s breakout freshman season lands him among the nation’s top college players

Anthony Pack, a Millikan High School graduate and Texas Longhorn, has been named to USA Baseball’s 2026 Collegiate National Team, a roster that will compete in the World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taichung City, Taiwan.

A Freshman Phenomenon

During his rookie season with the Longhorns, Pack posted a .355 batting average, scored 61 runs, drew 47 walks and stole 21 bases, earning both SEC Freshman of the Year and national freshman honors.

He capped the year with a three‑homer game in his first NCAA Regional appearance, a feat that made him the first Longhorn ever to achieve such a milestone in postseason play.

Overall, Pack started 60 of Texas’ 61 games, posted a .480 on‑base percentage and ranked second among Power Four freshmen in average, runs and on‑base percentage, while his 12 home runs highlighted a potent bat.

Texas Twins in Taiwan

Joining Pack on the national squad is teammate Luke Harrison, making them the only two Texas players selected and underscoring the state’s growing influence on collegiate baseball.

The 2026 team draws talent from 21 schools across five Power Four conferences, reflecting a competitive blend that promises strong performances in Taiwan.

Looking Forward

As the Longhorns prepare for the championship, Pack’s blend of speed, patience at the plate and power hitting positions him as a key contributor, and his historic achievements add a new chapter to Texas baseball lore.
