A man with an extensive warrant history led Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies on a high‑speed pursuit through the Hixson area on Tuesday afternoon.
The chase wound through residential streets before ending at the Redoubt Soccer Complex, where the suspect finally pulled over and was taken into custody.
Into the County Jail
Antonio Pickett was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center shortly after his arrest, where he will await further court proceedings.
Pickett entered the chase already wanted on multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, theft of property, auto burglary and evading arrest. During the pursuit he was cited for reckless driving, operating a vehicle on a revoked license and vandalism, and he was found in possession of controlled substances and related paraphernalia.
Additional traffic violations are pending, and investigators say further charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
