Ball State University announced Wednesday that Anya Coulibaly, a 6‑foot‑3 forward from Sabadell, Spain, has pledged to join the Cardinals’ women’s basketball program for the 2026 recruiting cycle, adding a player who blends perimeter shooting with interior presence.
Coulibaly arrives after a standout season with the Elite Sports Academy, where she refined a skill set that includes aggressive defense, rebounding and the ability to stretch the floor for her teammates.

Head coach Brady Sallee described her as a versatile and aggressive player who can stretch the floor, noting her capacity to protect the rim and create scoring opportunities while maintaining a high basketball IQ.
In her final campaign in Spain she posted averages of 14.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, shooting 54.3 percent from the field, figures that have drawn attention from analysts and fans alike.
Her addition brings the 2026 class to include Faith Walker, Helen Holley, Lillian Barnes and Klaske Miedema, a group the university believes can compete at the Mid‑American Conference level and elevate the program’s overall competitiveness.
