The inaugural broadcast will pit the Boston Red Sox against the New York Yankees at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, a rivalry that has long captivated viewers across the United States. While the game will be streamed from the teams’ home venues, Apple’s immersive format aims to transport viewers beyond the physical confines of the ballpark.
Key to the experience are Spatial Audio cues that capture crowd reactions and stadium ambience, alongside floating team lineups and statistics that hover in the viewer’s field of vision. Commentary will be provided by veteran voices Paul Severino, Xavier Scruggs and Michelle Margaux, each bringing decades of baseball expertise to the broadcast.
Apple plans to roll out a new game each week throughout the MLB season, with each live session followed by a full‑length replay and highlight reel. The service will be accessible not only in the United States but also in markets such as the United Kingdom and Australia via the Vision Pro app on Apple TV.
This move builds on Apple’s four‑year tradition of Friday night baseball broadcasts and reflects a broader strategy to expand sports content on both Apple TV and Vision Pro.
