Arizona Athletics has released its 2027 baseball schedule, a move that comes after a 2026 season that saw the program post one of its worst records despite a recent College World Series appearance.
The slate features 30 home games at Hi Corbett Field, including 13 contests against teams that earned NCAA Tournament bids, such as Big 12 champion Kansas and CWS participant West Virginia.
The Wildcats open the year on February 19 in Arlington, Texas, where they will compete in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown against defending national champion Oklahoma, before returning to Tucson for their home opener against UNLV on February 23. They will also travel to Globe Life Field to meet Virginia and Clemson in a mid‑season series.
Later in the fall, Arizona will host Naranjeros de Hermosillo at Kino Stadium on October 1, providing an early test against a Mexican league powerhouse.
Pitcher Garrett Hicks is slated to return for his third year with the program, having improved his 2025 numbers with a 3.94 ERA and six saves in 21 appearances.
A schedule built for redemption
The coaching staff believes the blend of experienced arms and fresh talent will translate into stronger performances on the mound and at the plate, aiming to turn the page from last season’s disappointment.
With a mix of home series against ASU, Washington, Seattle and league matchups against Utah, TCU, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Kansas, the Wildcats hope to translate depth into wins and secure a postseason berth.
