All-Americans Recognized
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has unveiled its latest All‑American roster, and three pillars of the University of Arkansas baseball team have secured spots on the prestigious list.
Left‑handed pitcher Ethan McElvain capped a dominant season with a 1.03 earned‑run average, 52 strikeouts and six saves across 19 relief appearances. His consistency earned him a place among the 14 finalists for the Stopper of the Year Award, honoring the nation’s top closer.
Hunter Dietz, also a left‑hander, posted a 3.57 ERA while fanning 131 batters in 85 ⅔ innings during his first full collegiate campaign. Opposing coaches have praised his poise on the mound, and analysts project him as a potential first‑round selection in the upcoming MLB Draft.
Shortstop Camden Kozeal led the Razorbacks at the plate with a .318 batting average, 20 home runs and 71 runs batted in. He spent the final two and a half months of the season out of position at shortstop, yet still managed to drive the team’s offense.
A Tradition of Excellence
Arkansas boasts a rich history of All‑American talent, with 41 players earning the honor over program existence and 19 selections since 2018. This season marks the fourth occasion in recent years that the Razorbacks have placed three or more athletes on the All‑American list, underscoring the program’s sustained competitiveness.
The trio’s achievements were highlighted during Arkansas’ concluding game of the year, a 13‑10 loss to Kansas at the NCAA Lawrence Regional on May 31, where McElvain took the mound to start the contest.

With the draft just weeks away, both McElvain and Dietz are expected to hear their names called among the nation’s elite prospects. Meanwhile, Kozeal’s bat will continue to be a focal point for the Razorbacks as they aim to rebuild and contend for another deep postseason run.
