Arkansas basketball announced its final four signings for the 2026‑27 roster, completing a recruiting class that includes Maper Maker, Ilia Frolov, Davion Thompson and Caleb Ourigou. The commitments arrive as the Razorbacks gear up for an exhibition tour that begins on July 31 in the Bahamas.
A New Generation of Razorbacks
The quartet brings a blend of size, skill and pedigree. Maker, a 7‑foot, 215‑pound center, pledged to Arkansas on May 24 after a standout high‑school career. Frolov, a 7‑0 Russian big man, followed on June 18. Thompson, a 6‑2 point guard, announced his decision on June 10 and will reclassify to the 2026 cycle. Ourigou, a 6‑11, 240‑pound interior presence, committed on July 14 and will also shift to the 2026 class.
All four will be classified as freshmen this season, contributing to an average roster age of 18 years and seven months — one of the youngest in program history. Their arrival follows a Peach Jam appearance for Thompson and Ourigou, where they caught the attention of the coaching staff before confirming their plans.
International Test in the Bahamas
The exhibition schedule features four games in five days against the Bahamas National Team, Carleton University, Toros del Valle and the University of Calgary. Tip‑off times and broadcast details have been released, with every contest streaming live on FloSports.
Coach John Calipari highlighted the strategic value of the tour, noting that competition against seasoned international opponents will accelerate the newcomers’ integration and give the program a competitive edge heading into the regular season. The matches also underscore Arkansas’ expanding global footprint, with games against teams from Canada, Colombia and Spain reflecting a broad scouting approach.
